Over the past 20 years, we’ve experimented with blending. A lot. And what we discovered with full-bodied red wines is that often the sum is greater than the parts. The sum in this blend is as follows: Cabernet Sauvignon (46.9%), Merlot (28.4%), Cabernet Franc (22.1%), Pinot Noir (1.4%), Malbec (0.5%), Syrah (0.4%) and Petit Verdot (0.3%). And the fun part is that the power of blending often over delivers in quality. All our winemaking decisions get the same attention to detail as the Cabernet Merlot does. And the results show in every bottle. On that, you have our word.
Winemaker's Notes
The grapes for the 2007 vintage were harvested from eight unique vineyards in Kelowna, Naramata and Osoyoos. Barrel aging in 95% French oak and 5% American oak has resulted in a well-balanced wine.
Tasting Notes
Garnet red with aromas and flavours of violets, roasted red pepper, mint, anise, chocolate and raspberry. Sweet oak aromas provide a rich mouth feel with firm tannins and a long, lingering finish.
Culinary Notes
Enjoy with….Grilled lamb or beef, Irish stew and spaghetti Bolognese are perfect food pairings. A great reception wine paired with medium to firm cheeses and chocolate desserts.
