The Bartsch Vineyard in Osoyoos is the hottest site in the Okanagan – the perfect home for our sun-loving Syrah. Our winemaker, on the other hand, keeps well protected with sunscreen as he watches for berries to shrivel – a telltale sign it’s time to pick. Thanks to all that heat and shrivel, our Syrah won Canada’s Red Wine of the Year in 2007. All our winemaking decisions get the same attention to detail as the Syrah does. And the results show in every bottle. On that, you have our word.

Winemaker's Notes

This Syrah was sourced from the Bartsch vineyard located in Osoyoos and the “Grizzly Meadows” vineyard in Naramata. Aged for 15 months in French oak, the 2007 Syrah is enjoyable now and will continue to improve with further cellar aging.

Tasting Notes

Rich red berry fruit, blueberry, black cherry, sweet fruit aromas with a hint of white pepper. Rich and mouth filling, this wine finishes with a hint of sour cherry and lingering finish.

Culinary Notes

Roast beef and grilled meats will pair perfectly with this Syrah. Try with medium to firm cheeses.
