Chef de Cuisine
Ron joined CedarCreek Estate Winery as the Chef de Cuisiné in April of 2016.
His first kitchen experiences came from after school jobs working at a local deli and pizzeria. Ron, a graduate of Dubrulle French Culinary Institute in 2001, started his career at upscale establishments in Vancouver and then moved to England, U.K. where he worked for six years at highly acclaimed restaurants such as Zuma, Maze and Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester Hotel.
In 2010 he returned to Vancouver, where he took on the role of Executive Chef at Bishop’s, for the celebrated godfather of farm-to-table cuisine, John Bishop. Here Ron enjoyed cooking for dignitaries and honoured guests.
In 2015 Ron had the opportunity to be an influential contributor in the opening of Vancouver’s first natural wine bar, Grapes and Soda. This led him to eventually obtain WSET wine certification.
Together these individual revelations have led Ron to approach food with a more personal appreciation and style that naturally suits CedarCreek Estate Winery.
